Leaf Chains

We supply a range leaf chain from the leading chain suppliers. Leaf chains are manufactured with link plates and pins and generally have greater tensile strength than roller chains. Leaf chains run over sheaves rather than sprockets and are typically suitable for hanging, balancing or motion transmitting applications of counterweighing chains such as machine tools, elevators and fork lift truck masts. There are three main types/series of leaf chain: AL Series, BL Series and the LL Series 

• AL series leaf chains contain link plates that are the same thickness and contour as the ANSI roller chain pin links of the same pitch.
• BL series leaf chains are designed to link plates that are thicker and have a larger contour than the AL series link plates of the same pitch. The BL series link plates and pins are the same as those of the ANSI roller chain of the next larger pitch.
• LL series leaf chain is based on British Standard chain dimensions. LL series leaf chain conforms to the ISO 606 international standard.
